Annual Winter Carnival

DMSMCA’s 11th annual Winter Carnival takes place Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 1:00 to 3:30 pm at Valour Community Centre – Orioles Site, 444 Burnell Street at St. Matthews. There will be skating, a marshmallow roast, a deejay and indoor bouncy castle.

Enter a Spaghetti Bridge Competition

As part of Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW) during March 1-8, 2020, our annual Spaghetti Bridge Competition, in support of Winnipeg Harvest, returns with extended hours and new locations for pre-registered school groups. K-Grade 12 students compete to build the strongest bridge using just pasta and white or wood glue, then watch as we test it to destruction!

Spring Garden Party at Michaels

On Saturday, March 7 Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Cost: Buy the wreath base, and the rest of the supplies will be provided. It’s one of the easy, fun craft times to do with the kids, without having the mess in your own home! 

Sound Safari at Fort Winnipeg 

Take in the sounds of nature at FortWhyte Alive. Explore our trails, close your eyes, and take in the sounds surrounding you. Use our guide to identify bird sounds, crunching snow, blowing wind and other sounds of the natural world. This child-led activity promotes outdoor exploration, and connecting sounds and sights of nature together. This fun event is included with general admission, adults ($10), children ($8).

A fun afternoon with your favourite kiddo! Spend quality time together cookie decorating in our retro kitchen studio with decorator Josee. This class is for an adult & child $49 (for 2 people)
